I love that I’m finally here long enough to photograph some of my first WI clients again & have return families in front of my lens more frequently. It’s something I so miss about Colorado - all the growth I captured over the years and how I yearn to see those people in general & also in front of my lens! It’s something no one warns you about moving. That aspect of starting over and how much it can hurt at first! And how big of a deal it feels, to me at least, carrying the memories of so many amazing people and connections over the years.

But it’s happening! I’m finding my people! Two brothers senior photos in the books & one sister to go next year from this amazingly sweet family. ❤️

I feel a deep honor when my clients come back for me to capture another special moment. It truly is so amazing getting to be apart of all the milestones (and average days) a family or individual will experience.

My lack of presence here is actually my being present elsewhere. It’s been a good, slow moving summer… just like it should be as a mom raising kids like it’s the 90s. And yet somehow it’s August already!!!

I’m behind on emails & scheduling (getting caught up!!!), doing great on prompt gallery delivery of current sessions & the studio move has been so slow to get going because my life runs on children, coordination, caffeine & chaos! Kids go back to school soon and while this Libra is always excited for routine, I’d be lying if I said I was eager for less hours of their shenanigans.

Here’s a few photos in imperfectly perfect yard of my favorite humans. I’m proud of all our kiddos. And I know Sophie’s birth mom, Ade, would be too. How lucky we are to have so much laughter and loudness fill this home!?

All this to say, soon I shall be around these parts more sharing all the beautiful things and people I’m capturing. 😘

These two know how to throw the best party! 🥳 We showed up to the awesome backyard reception an hour or so before the beginning of the celebration to capture them with family who traveled distances to be with them! And of course to photograph a handful of their own little sweet family.

Annnnnnd we stayed to boogie, celebrate with them and capture a few bonus keepsakes! 🤭

My new space is turning out to be a lot of work to get set up! I appreciate your patience while I get through the kids final week of school, birthday celebrations & making a bigger plan for action regarding the studio.

The pain of losing a furry soul mate is real. Tucker James, I will find you in our next lifetime.

No doubt his soul has found Porter, Berger, Mahla, Mack, Bruce & of course our baby David. The support crew torch has been handed to Penny, Gizmo & Luna as the OG chapter concludes.
