Did you know you don’t have to hike for miles to have an epic elopement view?
Palisade Head on Minnesota’s North Shore is one of those rare places where you can step out of your car and be standing above Lake Superior within minutes.
That makes it a great option for couples who want breathtaking scenery without spending half their wedding day hiking. You can soak in the views, read your vows, pop a bottle of champagne, and still have plenty of time to explore nearby beaches, forests, and overlooks.
One thing to keep in mind: this spot is incredibly popular, especially on summer weekends. Sunrise or weekday elopements are your best bet if you’re hoping for a quieter, more intimate experience. These photos were taken in the morning in that gorgeous, draping sun.
Sometimes the most unforgettable places are also the most accessible and that’s one of the reasons I keep coming back to the North Shore.
