End of the day update: 3 down — 3 more to go! 🙌📸

Also got a bunch of stuff ordered for upcoming photo booth sessions, started a new custom workflow for the booth, and checked a few random things off the studio to-do list.

Plus emails, researching ways to upgrade the business, playing with the kids, AND directing the poor lost souls looking for their Papa John's pizza. 😅😂

So basically… a productive day! 💪

Now it's time for supper and to get these kids to bed. ❤️

Tomorrow, we do it all over again! 😎

Whew! We have had a BUSY week and half- and deadlines are approaching!

I just upgraded my computer -but it also means 99% of my editing has to take place at the studio - not in my chair at home, at 2am 😂

Well… this is pretty freaking cool. 🥹❤️

Last night, I was completely caught off guard when Photopoulos Family Photography was named GiGi’s Playhouse Wausau’s Business of the Year!

And naturally, because I was the photographer for the event, I don't have a nice photo of myself receiving the award. 😂 So you’ll have to settle for this sweaty selfie!

But honestly, I couldn’t be more honored.
For the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing events and moments for GiGi’s Playhouse Wausau. I’ve gotten to capture celebrations, milestones, friendships, families, silliness, and so many little moments that make this community so special.

I wanted to share a few of my favorite images from the past two years—not necessarily because they’re the “best” photographs I’ve taken, but because they’re some of the moments that remind me why I love being part of this community. ❤️

And then there’s the award itself…
The beautiful, colorful mat around the certificate was created by GiGi’s participants. 🥹 Which honestly makes this mean even more to me. It isn’t just an award from a wonderful organization—it’s something created by the very people and community I’ve had the privilege of photographing.

Thank you to GiGi’s Playhouse Wausau for trusting me to tell your stories, for welcoming me in with my camera, and for allowing me to be a small part of everything you do.

And thank you to all of the families who have let me capture these moments over the past two years. ❤️

☀️ We realized we had a problem.

When we took our Mirror Photo Booth outdoors, we discovered something pretty quickly…

The sun is NOT our friend. 😂☀️

In bright sunlight, the screen could be difficult to see, which meant guests couldn't always get the full interactive experience we wanted them to have.

So… we made a little upgrade. 👀

✨ Introducing our brand-new BLACKOUT PHOTO BOOTH TENT! ✨

This tent creates a darker, more controlled environment around the booth, making the screen easier to see—even when we're outside enjoying a beautiful sunny day.

But then we thought…

Why stop there? 😏

The inside of the tent can be transformed with color-changing lighting, creating a completely different atmosphere for your event!

These are relaxed, personality-filled portraits designed to capture who your child is right now—not just what they look like.
Choose their favorite backdrop:

🩷 Pink
🤎 Warm Gray

And make it personal! Bring a favorite book, accessory, hobby, small project, or something else that represents what they're into right now.

They can dress up, keep it casual, be silly, be serious, use the vintage desk, or skip it completely. The goal is to make Picture Day feel like your kid.

✨ $40 per child | $30 for additional children

Liam is leaping into 3! 💙

Our little sass isn't staying very little. He's brave, silly, loves playing pranks, and is starting to really find his voice.

He's been a late talker, but suddenly our house (and car 😂) are filled with the loudest babbles, sirens, and all the new words he's learning. Just this week he's added blue, what, pool, thank you... and probably a few more I'm forgetting!

It's so much fun watching his personality come out more and more as he finds new ways to tell us exactly what he's thinking. And believe me, he has thoughts. 😂

Happy birthday to the sweetest, sassiest little boy around. We love you more than you could ever know. ❤️

And yes... I did go chest-deep into a public pool filled with splashing children, camera and all, to get this photo.

Did I look absolutely insane? Absolutely.
Was it worth it?
Obvs. 😂📸

The first round of homeschool portrait sessions started today! 🩵

What a fun day. We got to meet some new homeschooling friends, have some really great conversations in between sessions, and of course, capture some fun portraits to kick off the new school year.

I don’t have today’s images edited just yet (and many of them won’t be shared online anyway), so I’m sharing one of my own kids’ portraits that I haven’t shared here before. 😊
