Let’s get creative, and have some laughs - this part is so fun! Nerves are normal, but I promise they go away. You’ll learn just how dumb my humor is - sorry, but I still have a middle schooler. I’ll show you how to pose, how NOT to pose (always a treat), with lots of walking around and talking. It will be over before you know it, and we’ll all go home DYING to see these photographs!

So this is where we dream/scheme together! I’ll come to your house to meet you and your parents - and we'll work out the details of the session. Do you have concerns? Worried about posing? Do you and your parents disagree? Want to make artwork for a certain wall? Want a unique location or vibe? We will discuss it all and figure out the plan to make everyone happy.

At the end, we'll have the date and location(s) set, and feel excited to get to portraits!

My teenage self would have resisted photographs like these. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want them!

I imagine Jaylin and Terri will share stories about the bands they went to see. About the time they got tattoos and maybe even the time they got their portraits taken, just before Jaylin headed off to college.

You never know what's coming down the road, and how relationships will rearrange, but honoring our own stories before they are forgotten is so dang fun!
