Last week we said goodbye to Taylor Steger, our first summer intern at Shoemaker Films. Taylor is heading into her Senior year at WCU, and we wish her all the luck as she finishes her time there.
This summer, Taylor had the opportunity to help out on set with our team, prepping for shoots, developing concepts for social media content, capturing behind the scenes photos, plus filming and editing videos for Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube. She learned all about cinematography, video editing, digital marketing strategy, and much, much more.
Taylor shared some of her thoughts on the internship:
“From my very first day at Shoemaker Films, I felt incredibly supported by Dane and Morgan. They made sure I never felt overwhelmed, which I really appreciated. Throughout my internship, I built strong, practical skills in content creation. Gaining hands-on experience—from capturing BTS photos on set and participating in client brainstorming sessions to taking classes on cinematography and equipment, as well as filming videos for the Newtown Square Business Association—has made me far more confident in my work. I am so grateful for this opportunity and highly recommend this internship to anyone looking for hands-on experience with an encouraging, supportive team!”
