Some people come into your life as clients and stay long enough to become part of your story.

I've had the privilege of photographing this beautiful woman and her family through so many seasons of life. From raising children to becoming empty nesters, from family portraits to an unforgettable power-couple session, she's never stopped embracing each chapter with grace, confidence, and a sense of adventure.

A few weeks ago, while they attended a black-tie wedding during the cocktail hour, she and her husband met me at the top level of a parking garage, surrounded by our city skyline.

There she stood in a stunning red satin gown, with her husband looking at her the same way he always has... with admiration and pride.

The result wasn't just a photograph.

It was a reminder that romance doesn't expire when the kids grow up. That elegance isn't reserved for special occasions. That love can continue to deepen, shine, and surprise you after all these years.

Today is her birthday, and it feels fitting to share this image as a celebration of the woman I know she is... strong, vibrant, glamorous, kind, and fully embracing life.

Do you know a creative teen?! Stickers, drawings, jewelry, sweets and treats...surprise me! Do they have a little bit of a following? Have they ever done a pop up event before?? I'd love to invite a special someone into my studio to offer their creations for sale! Communities love to support our kids, and kids love what kids create! Our summer photo class is almost full! Besides 4 weeks of hands on instruction, I'll be printing, framing, and hanging their favorite image at my studio in Webster where we'll have a last class gallery opening with their friends and family. The kids will take their frame home after the celebration to enjoy looking back on for their lifetime. PLUS, each student will receive a pop up session for their family to use in the future, prompt cards they can use all summer, a journal for notes and assignments, and snacks! Plus this ready to frame completion certificate! They'll enjoy working together with other students with a curiosity about photography, and they'll feel a sense of pride moving forward as they continue on. This isn't going to be just a photography class...it will be more like a featured artist experience! Message me for details...class starts on Tuesday June 30th...counting the days! :)

When I was a kid, the amusement parks always had these old time photo booths setup with prairie and cowboy styled dress up clothes and I just thought they were amazing! I would stop and watch the grownups have the BEST time trying on these out dated clothes and hats and whatever they could find in the treasure chest of props to be photographed in. That's kind of what I'm building at my studio but with styles that I'm drawn to and what I think women would love to try on for a minute too. This beautiful momma let her daughter choose both outfits to be photographed in and let her style the accessories however she wanted to. It was their day, their memory...just for them.
