Today, I have been reflecting on my journey of starting my own photography business, which has been both rewarding and extremely difficult. After taking a photography course my junior year of college, I discovered a passion for it I never knew I had, so after graduating, I decided to pursue that passion. The photography industry is extremely competitive and can be very discouraging, having high self confidence is essential. I often find myself constantly comparing my work to others. I would be lying if I said I never thought about throwing in the towel.
However in all reality, I haven't been doing this very long, and I need to give myself more grace. I’ve been in the business for less than a year I am learning every session and have made great progress. I couldn't be happier. I get to meet some amazing people, I'm doing something I love, and what I do brings joy to others. While I'm still in the building phase of this dream, every shoot is a lesson and every repeat client is a win that keeps me inspired.
I am so blessed to have the unwavering support of my fiance, family, and friends I couldn’t do this without you all. To everyone who has booked a session, shared a post, or recommended me to a friend-thank you. You are the heart of this business.
