I’ve seen the conversations happening in the photography community right now regarding AI, children’s images, and sharing our work online. I’ve thought about it, and I want to be transparent about where I stand. ❤️

I will not be removing all identifiable images of children from my photography page.

I completely understand why some photographers and parents are choosing to do that, and I respect that decision. The capabilities of AI are unsettling, and unfortunately there will always be people who misuse technology and images in ways they were never intended to be used.

But sharing my work is also a huge part of how I run Elegant Exposures. Families find me because they can see real sessions, real connections, real personalities and the kind of memories I create. My portfolio is quite literally how I show you what I do.

What will never change is that your consent matters more than my content.

If you do not want your child shared on my website or social media, tell me. No explanation necessary. No hurt feelings. No pressure. I will always respect that.

If you’re comfortable with me sharing some images but would prefer faceless/detail images of your child, we can absolutely do that too.

And if I have shared an image of your child in the past that you are no longer comfortable having online, message me and I will remove it.

These photographs belong to your memories first and my portfolio second. ❤️

I’m going to continue photographing babies, toddlers, kids and families the way I always have — documenting their little faces, personalities, milestones and all the things their parents never want to forget.

I’m also going to continue sharing that work with permission.

There isn’t a perfect answer for navigating technology that changes this quickly. For me, right now, this is the decision that feels right for my business while still giving every family complete control over whether their images are shared.

There’s something so beautiful about a friendship that simply feels like home. 🤍

These two girls, now 18 and 19, have been best friends since 2021—and you can see the love, laughter, comfort, and genuine connection between them in every photograph.

Four years of memories. Four years of growing, changing, laughing, supporting one another, and being there through different seasons of life. And what a beautiful thing it is to watch two young women continue to choose friendship, make memories, and grow side by side. ✨

As a photographer, I don’t just want to capture how people look in front of my camera. I want to capture how they feel about each other. The laughter that comes naturally. The little glances. The moments between the poses. The kind of love that doesn’t need words.

These photographs are more than pictures—they’re a little time capsule of them, exactly as they are right now.
