The start of a new year always has me thinking about how quickly these seasons pass — especially the quiet, everyday moments we don’t realize we’ll miss.

It isn’t like me to post non-photography content here… BUT
while not photography related, it is pretty on brand for me to be discussing coffee 😆☕️

And with tomorrow being Christmas, I thought some of you moms might enjoy this.

When your kiddos ask for “coffee” (because obviously they want to be just like you):

Kid Coffee Recipe 🤍
• Whole milk (warmed)
• Vanilla extract
• Cinnamon spice
• Brown sugar
• Honey
• La Lechera caramel or extra honey
• Toffee sprinkles (McCormick English Toffee finishing sugar = elite)
• Heavy whipping cream (sometimes I sub whipped topping)

How we make it:
Warm the milk and stir in honey, vanilla, and cinnamon.
In a separate cup, whip heavy cream + brown sugar with a coffee frother.
Top the “coffee” with the whipped mixture, drizzle caramel/honey/chocolate syrup, and finish with sprinkles ✨

A sweet little treat for special mornings so they can have their coffee fix too — minus the caffeine, plus all the cozy magic. I’ve been doing this since my oldest started stealing my coffee as a toddler (See Photo in comments🤦🏼‍♀️)

Bonus: if your kids know you’re getting their coffee ready too… they usually let you make your own in peace 🤭

✨ Exciting Update: New Packages Coming! ✨

Hey friends! I wanted to share a little behind-the-scenes update — I’m switching things up over here at HIVE Photography.

Instead of the old 30 / 60 / 90 minute sessions, I’m moving to specific milestone-based packages that better reflect the moments we’re capturing. Think:

• Milestone sessions for birthdays and big kid moments
• First birthday sessions
• Newborn lifestyle sessions
• Engagement / couples sessions
• Gender reveal sessions (✨NEW✨ - I’m really excited to share details of this new “one-stop” package! Keep your eyes out for more details)

These new packages will make it easier to know exactly what’s included and pick the perfect session for your family or milestone.

I’ll be rolling out the updated booking page soon, and I can’t wait to share it with you. 🤍

✨ I WOULD REDO THIS SESSION IN A HEARTBEAT ✨

Not because I didn’t get enough (I probably culled through 400+ photos from this session) — but because it was just THAT much fun.

This beautiful girl was an absolute dream to work with. Confident, sweet and fun! She followed prompts like a pro, laughed nonstop, and made it look effortless — even on a slightly chilly to be at the beach kind of day. 🏖️ 🥶

I love photographing kids — especially doing something they enjoy. Their energy, their joy, the little moments you can’t recreate… pure magic. ✨
