Running a professional photography business isn't just about showing up with a camera for an hour—it is a craft, a massive investment in gear, and a full-scale operation. On top of running this business, I also work a demanding full-time job.
Lately, I’ve had to reevaluate boundaries, and I am officially putting my foot down.
Moving forward, the following policies are non-negotiable:
Fixed Packages & Pricing: My packages are thoughtfully curated. I cannot accommodate custom package building, price-cutting requests, or haggling. This is a business, not a hobby.
Respect for Time & Boundaries: Driving hours for a session, honoring our scheduled time, and respecting allotted session lengths matter immensely. No-shows and chronic over-running are entirely unacceptable—especially when expecting to rebook without standard fees.
The Investment Behind the Lens: Every click of the shutter wears down professional gear worth thousands of dollars. Add in ongoing software subscriptions, hours of detailed post-processing editing, and zero-tip environments, and it becomes clear why boundaries are necessary.
Turnaround Times: There is a turnaround time for a reason. Because I balance a full-time career alongside this business, every single image gets the careful, dedicated editing time it deserves without rushing the process. Constant nagging or rushing for sneak peeks only pulls time away from actually editing your gallery.
This is a business, and my time, talent, gear, and energy deserve to be respected. To all my incredible clients who already value, trust, and support what I do—thank you, you are the absolute heart of this business!
