Congratulations to the graduating class of 2026! 🎓 We know many college & high school graduation ceremonies have already taken place, while some universities still have theirs coming up in June. Congrats to all!

If your graduate already crossed the stage but wasn’t able to get a portrait session due to weather, scheduling conflicts, or availability, or you just don’t like the photos you got, it’s not too late to schedule a retake session!

We’ve got open dates in June and were able to travel to school campuses for photos. Reach out & let us know and we can get a date on the books for you!

Remember, honor, and respect our fallen heroes, for they made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our freedoms.

On Memorial Day, let us remember, honor, and pay tribute to the brave men and women in uniform who gave their lives for this country that we love. It is a debt we can never fully repay, but we must never stop trying. The sacrifices made by heroes and their families remind us of what it means to live for something greater than ourselves.

We were honored to be asked to take her graduate portraits again! Four years ago we had beautiful weather for her high school senior portraits, and last week, the weather was perfect again!

Happy 1st Day of Spring!

A Perfect Balance Across Earth 🌍✨

Today, on March 20 at 14:46 UTC, our planet reaches a rare moment of harmony. The Sun aligns directly above Earth’s equator, creating a near-perfect balance between daylight and darkness across the globe.

For this brief moment, Earth isn’t leaning toward or away from the Sun. Instead, its tilt sits sideways—bringing almost equal hours of day and night to every corner of the world. From bustling cities to quiet coastlines, everyone experiences nearly the same share of sunlight and shadow.

🌅 The Sun rises almost exactly in the east and sets almost perfectly in the west, no matter where you are. It’s a reminder that despite our differences, we all share the same sky and the same rhythm of nature.

🌍 Seen from space, the line dividing day and night stretches nearly straight from pole to pole—something that only happens at this time of year. It’s also a turning point: the Northern Hemisphere begins its journey toward longer, warmer days, while the Southern Hemisphere slowly moves toward shorter ones.

This is the equinox—a quiet but powerful reminder of balance, change, and the beauty of Earth’s motion through space.

Today on International Women's Day, we honor the strength, resilience, and brilliance of women everywhere! From artists to entrepreneurs, innovators to leaders, women continue to shape and inspire our world in countless ways. Women are our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, family, co-workers, community members, and partners - and we celebrate them all!

Redbud Portraits is proud to amplify the voices and stories of women in all industries but particularly in our own - in the photography, modeling, hair and makeup industries. Throughout the year, our endeavors have us working with women marketers, models, hair stylists, makeup artists, costumers, set designers, and even other photographers. As much as we celebrate oursleves, we also celebrate these women's achievements, their passion, and their unwavering dedication to creativity.

To all the women who challenge stereotypes, break barriers, and pave the way for future generations: thank you! Your contributions are invaluable, and your impact is immeasurable.

To the Pink Ladies & T-Birds and all the guys and dolls who attended Friday night's Family Dinner & Dance Sock Hop at the Courtyard Banquets - THE PHOTO GALLERY IS NOW VIEWABLE!

Emails have been sent out to all who registered to receive the gallery link and password.

If you have not yet registered, please be sure to do so! The registration link was available both before the event in the pdf attached to the email from the Warrenville Park District when you signed up for table seating, and also at the event. The QR code was found on the number cards you received as well as at the table at the photo sets.

If you've somehow misplaced your number card or deleted your email, please send us a message and we'll get you to the registration page. To protect the privacy of the guests who attended the event, the registration link is only shared with confirmed ticket holders. Thank you for understanding why we will not share that registration page publicly.
