Hi friends - an update for you! (Because it's been farrrr too long since I've made myself known here on IG!)

Since becoming a mom, life has become beautifully full--and between that and my other work, I've made the decision to scale way back on photography. I'm still passionate about capturing your love stories, but I want to be able to give each client 110%. I've quickly learned that I can't do that if I take on too much.

Moving forward, I'll be taking on fewer projects and being selective to only take on those that truly resonate with me. For 2025, I'll only be taking on 1 more elopement and a small handful of engagement/couples sessions. If you've got a project that feels like the right fit, let's chat! Well I'm largely only focused on elopements in the Tetons, I can't turn down the opportunity to photograph other beautiful places--so let's talk about your Yellowstone, Glacier, Stanley, PNW elopements too 😉

Back to March, and this beautiful Glacier National Park wedding ♥️ Erin and I rode at the same barn growing up, and it was so fun to reconnect all these years later! Dan, Erin, and all their people were a blast. What a wonderful weekend!

Are engagement photos worth it?

I remember asking myself this exact question after I got engaged. It felt like such a huge expense at the time, when everything already felt so expensive. Even as a photographer who knows how valuable photos are, I also recognize that they are an investment—and I struggle to purchase sessions for myself!

We did end up taking engagement photos, and I’m SO glad we did. Are they displayed all over our home? No. (Although maybe they should be, I still love them!). BUT, we did use them in our guest book, and more importantly, they got us comfortable in front of a camera before our wedding day (we had never had photos taken together before then!). Now, as we are about to start our family, I more than ever can feel how special it will be years down the road to show these photos to our kids and grandkids, God willing. Being engaged is such a unique and special time of life, and it goes by so quickly. Even if they stay tucked away for a while, it’s so fun to look back and reminisce and see how far we’ve come ❤️

Hiking on your elopement day…would you do it?!

You don’t have to be an avid hiker to enjoy a hike during your elopement. This hike is one of my very favorites, for couples who want something pretty easy but with a lot of variety (and no shortage of stunning views!) Bonus: there are tons of trail options with this hike, so you can make it as short as 3 miles or up to 7 (or more!).

If you’ve considered a hike for your elopement, I would love to help you find the perfect trail. Whether you want 15 miles or 1.5, there’s something for everyone! 🥾
