I waited patiently for a red bus to come by with no other cars, and just as I was ready to take this shot, a group of ladies asked me to take their picture. I kindly said yes, but asked them to wait so that I could snag the pictures that I wanted and waited 30min for. 🤣 They were super sweet and of course waited. In the end, we both got the pictures that we wanted.

Timing and patience. Essential.

Very rarely will I take the same trip twice because I always love going to new places. HOWEVER, this is one exception. I’ve spent a week rafting and camping in the bottom of the Grand Canyon twice now and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

One of my all-time favorite trips!

We went in 2006 and then again for my dad’s 70th birthday, a few years ago. (Peep the shirt I made him)

The pictures always pop upon my memories and I usually reshare one or two, but this time I’m sharing a bunch, INCLUDING pics from my first time. One of the side hikes we did, I found the same spot I took a photo the first time and took a new one 13 years later! I put those back to back when you’re swiping through…you can’t miss it.

Also random fact, but if you know me this won’t shock you 😂 A few days into the first trip, I face planted a rock on one of our hikes and gave myself a black eye 🫠 So enjoy the throwbacks to baby Kathryn with braces and a self given black eye 🤣🤣🤣

These are from 5/29, but keep your eyes peeled this weekend, if you’re lucky enough to have clear skies! This storm is supposed to be strong, overhead for us up north, and stretch pretty far south. Check to see if your state may have a possibility of seeing them! Happy hunting!
