We went ‘up the country’ to the lush Battenkill River valley in southern Vermont for Liz and Jack’s wedding weekend at the lovely Wilburton Inn.

From the relaxed al fresco rehearsal dinner to the ceremony under a sparkling blue June sky, this stylish wedding was filled with color, life and fun.

Loved the Norwegian kransekage featuring a tower of cake rings, and the bursts of color from the flowers set against the New England sky. Really a beautiful region of Vermont, from Manchester to the mountains...check it out if you’re headed up north!

A wonderful wedding to cap off 2025! Matthew and Christopher were married in Trinity College Chapel , where Christopher is the Director of Chapel Music and Artist-in-Residence.

Guests were treated to The Chapel Singers led by Gabriel Löfvall along with Vaughn Mauren on the organ which only added to the beauty and emotion of the day.

The celebration continued at an on-site reception for the students, faculty, friends and family, followed by an intimate cocktail party and dinner with Matthew and Christopher's close friends and family at The Town and County Club, featuring the jazz quartet led by Gianni Gardner. Beautiful floral from Devars-Phillips Florist.

Congratulations Matthew and Christopher! It was such a pleasure getting to know you both and capture your celebration!

I (Mike) recently photographed the opening reception for the photo exhibit “Jewish Hartford. Our Commmunity. Our Stories” by acclaimed Hartford photographer Steve Laschever, at the Mandell JCC of Greater Hartford .

This extraordinary exhibit includes almost fifty portraits of Jewish folks and Jewish life throughout metro Hartford, showcasing their broad and deep contributions and connections in our community. Steve’s done a great job capturing people’s humanity, personality and sparkle, resulting in some dynamic portraits.

An exhibit like this takes on much more meaning during the rise of antisemitism and antisemitic violence in our country and abroad. I encourage you to take some time and see this exhibit.

The exhibit is free and open to the public at the Mandell JCC, 335 Bloomfield Avenue in West Hartford CT and runs through January 23, 2026.
