I know, fall is a little chaotic. School is back and the calendar fills up quickly between activities and holidays.

But somewhere in all of that, there’s still this really sweet little season happening (my personal favorite btw).

Fall Minis are a chance to slow down for a few minutes, be together, and have some beautiful photos to remember what your family looks like right now. Your kids are probably way taller than the last time we did your pictures!

Fall Minis are for you if...

You want updated photos, but you don't need a full hour to tell your family's story.

Your kids are little and you want to remember all of their current little quirks, personalities, smiles.

You and your partner want a few photos together that actually feel like the two of you.

After all this time. 💛

Someone asked me recently how I haven't completely burned out after all these years.

The truth is, there are a lot of big, beautiful moments that make for epic photos.. but I think the real love is in a lot of little things... like spending time with sweet Vivian and her family.

They're the whole reason I keep showing up with my camera.
I'm still here, still taking pictures, and I hope that never changes!

There are no words, quotes, or captions to fully convey the depth and sanctity that is Motherhood.

It's beautiful and wild and vulnerable.

It changes you in ways you never imagined - somehow making you softer AND stronger all at once. It's excitement for the future while mourning every day that's passed...

and reminding yourself to be present here and now, too.

It's feeling exhausted yet simultaneously wishing you could bottle up every. single. moment. And although we can't bottle it up, I think a snapshot in time is the closest we get to remembering what it felt like.

Capturing the essence of Motherhood.. like these photos of Amber and Kayson - It's one of the most meaningful parts of this work.

- To those who celebrated with their littles or with your grown-up kids from afar..
- To those with babies in their arms and to those with babies on their hearts with angel wings..
- To those who are expecting, and to those who are bravely yearning for this season..
- To every woman who stepped up, showed up, and loved fiercely — even when it wasn't required of her...

Some things just can't be rushed.

Sourdough is one of them. You feed it, you wait, you shape it with care, and somewhere in all of that patience — something beautiful happens.

Photography is really similar in that way. Every wedding day I get to witness is poured into with intention and presence. And with a genuine love for the craft.

That's what I want you to feel when you look back at your photos years from now. Not just that they're beautiful, but that someone truly cared about all the little things... because they mattered.

It's all a labor of love. And I wouldn't have it any other way. 🤍

Hi there, I'm Mariah! I realize it's been awhile since I've formally introduced myself here so I wanted to share a bit about me (and hopefully connect with some of you, too!). 👋

I'm the owner and photographer behind Amber & Elle Photography, based in the Coshocton, Ohio area. I've been photographing weddings and families for over 12 years (which somehow still doesn't feel real when I say it out loud?!).

A few things that are equally true about me.....

🎀 I'm a mom to two beautiful girls. Aera, who gained her angel wings, and Quinn who is here with me earthside. 🤍 Both of them have taught me, shaped me, and given me a new purpose in this life.

🍞 I started my sourdough journey just over a year ago and I have enjoyed every trial and joy that comes with it. It’s been soul-filling to share my bread and creations with the people I love!

🖥️ I have a full-time design job, a camera bag that never fully gets unpacked, and a to-do list that seemingly never ends.

📍 Although my roots are now planted in the tiny village of West Lafayette, I'm originally from the Columbus, Ohio area.

📸 I love traveling back to Columbus and all over Ohio for my clients! It’s been an honor to photograph weddings all over the state!

🐾 I love dogs, Disney, and dressing up for a fancy dinner with menu items I probably mispronounce.

☀️ I shoot light and airy, I chase golden hour, and I genuinely believe the best photos happen when people stop thinking about the camera. That's what I'm here to create for you!

If you're thinking "what in the world should we wear for our spring mini photos?" This post is for you! 😊

Spring and Summer can be the absolute BEST time for family photos, not only because we get the longest days of warm sunshine, but because of the beautiful blooming color!


However, I know planning outfits can be stressful for busy families! When it comes to what to wear for your session, I always say: dress like yourself, just a little bit more intentionally. You don't need a perfectly coordinated family outfit or a brand new wardrobe. You just need tones that feel light, easy, and a little bit spring.
Think: neutrals as your base, one color that makes you happy, and something that feels comfortable enough to actually move in.
