Another recent image from the bayou. This particular morning was one of the most special ones that I've had in recent years down here. The fog was thick and lasted for hours and everything was still and silent. The mist in the air saturated everything making the colors on the trees pop and trees stand out from the background. I loved this composition so much that I tucked myself in by another tree and put my tripod in the water against my kayak to take the shot. Everything about this image, from the cypress knees to the dangling Spanish moss to the yellow leaves and misty background, it all encapsulates the bayou and blackwater swamps in the fall so perfectly to me. I hope that you all enjoy this one as much as I do.
