I think we all reach a point where disappearing with a fishing pole and no responsibilities sounds pretty nice. Luckily newborns make even “checking out for the day” look adorable. 🥹

One of my favorite parts of newborn photography is creating setups that actually mean something to the family. 🤎

Anyone can place a baby in a prop, but I love taking pieces of a family’s story and turning them into art. A well-loved saddle, something passed down through generations, a hobby that’s part of who they are — those little details make an image feel personal in a way that can’t be replicated. ✨

This setup was such a fun one to create, and honestly, tapping into the creative side of these sessions is what keeps me inspired. I love dreaming up ways to make each gallery feel unique to the people in it instead of just recreating the same photos over and over.

I don’t think I’ll ever get over how babies this tiny can already have so much personality. Some sessions are full of sleepy serious faces… and then every now and then you get one of these little smirks that absolutely melts me.

We know how important these milestones can be. It feels like they were just starting school, and now here they are graduating kindergarten. Although we offer cap & gown sessions at most of the local schools, a lot of our parents love these Kindergarten Tux and Drape sessions. Especially when they bring this print along to their SENIOR session!

These portraits are such a sweet way to hold onto this moment. Their little face, their personality, and this special memory deserve to be cherished. Tux and drape portraits are classic, timeless, and something you’ll always be glad you have.
