🌱This Tuesday 3/24, City Council will consider revising the language in our existing Ag Commission ordinance (M.G.L sec 8L), adopted in 2019.
🌱The proposed changes removes language allowing the Ag Comm’s ability to help settle disputes between farmers and city, and the ability of the Ag Comm to buy, sell or acquire farmland in consult with Mayor and Council.
🌱Haverhill Friends of Agriculture does NOT want to change our existing ordinance.
🌱Please email [email protected] to ask that City Councilors vote to keep our existing ordinance in place and not support the proposed changes.
