Ruthie was just a few months old the first time I photographed this family. Now she's chasing her big sister Scarlett through the rose garden, both of them in pink, smelling all the pretty flowers! 🌹

This was session number four with the Goins family - Shea, Alex, Scarlett, and Ruthie were some of my very first clients back in 2023, and watching these two grow up through my lens has been one of the best parts of doing this work. Shea and I have always been kindred spirits - both German Shepherd moms at heart. Soto has been part of every session since the beginning, and he always reminds me of my own girl, Coco, who I lost this past December after almost 13 years by my side.

This was also our last session together before my move to Tennessee, and I can't think of a better way to have said goodbye. Golden light, rose petals everywhere, and this whole family laughing until they couldn't breathe. I'm going to miss this crew so much. Thank you, Goins family, for three years of trusting me with your story 🖤

Usually I am so excited for fall to be here because fall photos are amazing! 🍂 but these photos of the Sommer Family are making me wish summer could stay just a little longer! ☀️ everything about these photos are just perfection - the laughter you can hear, the memories you can feel and don’t get me started on the amazing outfits and sunset combo just making these photos feel so warm! 🖤

Why did I have to meet such an amazing photographer and person right before moving! 😭 But I feel so lucky that she trusted me with her first family photos since her twins were 2, they're 8 now!
Now, when she booked and I reviewed her answers to the questionnaire and saw she had 3 almost pr***en boys I was so nervous! Most of the time I am not cool enough for pr***ens, especially boys but these boys were down for whatever. 🖤 AND to make everything even easier, I don't think this family even knows what a fake laugh is because they just laughed the whole time! As for dad, he rolled with everything too and honestly, I think playing with the rocks was more for him then it was for the kids. 😂

I already shared a few from Rylee and Jayden's session, but going through the full gallery again, I kept finding photos I couldn't leave out. 😍 This family is just too cute to keep to myself. The piggyback rides, the twirl in the field, dad tossing baby girl toward the sky like she's the lightest thing in the world. It's the kind of gallery that makes the job easy. 📸

In a year, their face will have changed. They won’t reach for you quite the same way. Those baby curls will be gone. And you won’t notice it happening…until you look back and wonder how the time went that fast.
