I’m a total and complete sucker for the first look coming down the aisle. Don’t get me wrong - first looks before the ceremony have their own magic and necessity but we all know the groom needs to suffer a little bit and just wait it out, and I think the emotional result is totally worth it ✨ also some Portra 400 film in there telling the story well 🎞️

Time is a wild thing on a wedding day. Going through the schedule ahead of time, it can seem like why is there so much time allotted for everything. Do you really need an hour to put on your dress? Time on a wedding day - isn’t normal time. It flies by - at least x3. And the key is knowing how much is too much time and how much is just right. I think one of the most important areas is getting ready - because you don’t want so much time where you’re sitting around, but you also don’t want it too tight to where you’re stressed. Getting ready sets up the rest of your day, and it should be a magical time.

From recreating parents wedding portraits (on the very same porch), to actual magic, and a flash mob for the dance floor - this weekend with Alyssa & Miles was an honour to photograph. I can’t say enough good things about these two - and there are too many photos to choose from. But I tried to narrow a few down.
