Sunday’s Kathak performances at the Tarkington Theatre were a beautiful reminder of how powerful tradition and artistry can be. Watching the dedication, discipline, and grace of these dancers come to life on stage was truly inspiring.
I’ve loved witnessing the growth and talent of the students under the guidance of my dear friend, Dr. Anindita Sen. Her commitment to preserving the true essence of classical Kathak while nurturing the next generation of artists is extraordinary.
I also continue to admire her collaboration with Prashant — his deeply moving choreography woven together with her traditional Kathak foundation creates something incredibly powerful and beautiful.
