Let’s talk about the magic in the light!

There is a trade-off no matter when we click the shutter, and honestly, it’s all about the energy you want to capture. ✨

Early morning sessions are a total whirlwind. The light starts out soft and ethereal: perfect for those quiet, unscripted moments: but it gets dramatic fast. Within an hour, it can turn harsh and unforgiving. We’ve got a small window to work with before the sun takes over, but that morning magic is elite. 🌅

Then there’s the Golden Hour at the end of the day. You know the one: warm, soft, and everything just glows. But we lose that light quick. We go from golden hour to blue hour to dark in what feels like minutes! It’s a literal race against the clock.

So, I have to ask... which vibe speaks to you?

Did you know my background isn't just in art? Before I officially picked up the lens full-time, I was an Occupational Therapist.

Specifically, I worked with infants and children. That time in the OT world is the heartbeat of every newborn session I do today. It’s why safety and comfort aren't just "goals": they are the foundation.

Whether we’re in my Westwood studio or a cozy corner of your home, I’m using that OT lens. I’m tuned into your baby’s sensory needs and developmental cues.

My priority? Keeping things calm, safe, and entirely newborn led. I don't force poses; I capture the magic of how they naturally curl up or that first milk-drunk smile.

It’s about the peace of mind that comes from knowing your tiny miracle is in expert hands.

Getting ready for your senior session with me? I've put together this checklist so you walk in feeling confident and leave with portraits you're obsessed with.

Senior Session Survival Kit.

• Your Outfits: Steamed or ironed and on hangers, please!
• Shoes: Bring the right shoes for every look, plus a pair of comfy flats for walking between spots.
• Accessories: Hats, scarves, statement earrings, and belts. Bring more than you think you need!
• Props: This is what makes your session unique. Bring your dog, your favorite books, your sports gear, your art supplies, or even your sneaker collection. If it tells your story, I want to see it.
• Touch-ups: Chapstick, water, a hairbrush, and oil-absorbing towelettes to keep the shine away.
