Best of Spring 📸
Narrowed down thousands to hundreds to my Top 20 of seven spring sports. These are in order. Swipe to see & read about each one
These first three could all fight for the first spot but this Nicky Miltenberger celebration one is my favorite. The way he’s surrounded by the opponent, looking towards his bench. And deeper than that, he’s a FOGO, so when he scores, it’s that much more exciting. And being in playoffs, just means more.
Silhouette on deck
This one is definitely top 10 all time for me and I just can’t wait to get more next season. Sometimes the sun is so brutal at softball games, but if you can use it to your advantage, you can get some great shots. And this is part of the game that is important, the on deck circle. They are locked in & getting ready to make an impact.
If I would do anything different, I’d crop it in so the poles aren’t in the background at all.
Homerun for Danny!
This has been a favorite once I saw I got it. Getting a home run celebration is always but this made top 3 because I’ve never gotten it before. Danny smiling back to his bench while the ump signals home run tells the whole story & that is all I ever want to do with a photo.
This one is even better cropped vertically.
Golf in the rain
I remember this shot like it was yesterday. I always try to be extra creative with golf because it’s a lot of the same shots, and it feels repetitive. But with the rain I knew I needed something that showed the impact and I love how the cortland red hat really stands out within the darkness of the weather. I loved this photo but then hearing from coach that the girls were also impressed, made me even happier which is why it’s so high up.
Travis in the hurdles
This shot is not new, it’s not innovative but when it is done well, it hits so nicely. And combine that with the person, and there’s no way this photo isn’t top 20. This is a tough one for me with the heat sometimes, and then the focus & the athletes position, but Travis happened to look up & made it the shot it is!
Emma jumps for joy!
A game vs Ithaca always means more. This ended in a loss but this photo is still one of the best celebrations from
