My photographs from rehearsal for Michelle Dorrance(Dorrance Dance) and Chelsea Hoy’s (Trinity Irish Dance Company) new work featured in Dance Magazine ahead of its world premiere at Vail Dance Festival.

Tap, Irish step, and ballet all coming together in one studio with an incredible group of dancers. Pretty special to witness and photograph! 📸

One of the things I care most about on a wedding day is making sure my couples and their families feel comfortable, cared for, and completely themselves in front of my camera.⁠

That’s why Alexa’s review meant so much to me. She described my team as bringing a “genuine warmth and calm energy” that put her and her entire family at ease, and said everyone in the bridal party felt comfortable in front of the camera.⁠

I filmed these back in June while Nel Shelby, ashli bickford, and I were in Havana making “The Essence of Us: A Cuban Story” for The 92nd Street Y, New York.

Going to Cuba for the first time, working alongside Pedro Ruiz and the dancers of Malpaso Dance Company, and being immersed in their creative process was an experience I’ll never forget.

There’s something incredibly special about being in the room while artists are figuring things out, taking risks, solving problems, and creating something together.

👀 Watch the World Premiere of “The Essence of Us: A Cuban Story” at 92NY on September 19 at 7pm, with streaming access beginning September 20 at 12pm.

If you come in person on 9/19, you’ll see a bunch of my photos from this project featured in an exhibit! 📸
