The solstice at the 48th latitude hits differently. It marks the point where long nights reach their limit and daylight begins its return. A structural turn in the season—measurable, not symbolic.

This night is built around food, whiskey, and community. Region Sauvage, FORLOH, Lazy K Bar Whiskey, and Joseph Mayden Photography are coordinating in support of the North Fork Preservation Society. On December 21, the event will include an open-fire lamb dinner, whiskey, and space for uninterrupted conversation.

Tickets are available at regionsauvage.com.

The perfect balance of work and play. This trailer has been a long-running passion project, and it’s finally at the stage where it can be fully put to use. Starting in 2026, it becomes my mobile office.

ROAM rooftop tent, awning, and shower system with a 7-gallon tank. All of it mounted cleanly on an XTRUSION Overland modular bed rack built for the M1102 platform. More storage than you know what to do with in the DECKED drawer system. A 2000-amp power station with 400W of solar keeps everything running, and Starlink Roam keeps me connected no matter where I end up. This setup is designed to go anywhere to get the shot.

When the day winds down and camp comes together, DEVOS and Last Light handle the glow. The entire build is engineered to work hard during the day and feel like a home base at night.

This will be the hub for elopements, brand and marketing projects, and the long wildlife days that require being far from everyone and everything. More miles. More remote. More content. Look for it on the road next year.

With archery season closed and wedding season wrapped, the schedule shifts to silence, cold air, and long miles with a camera in hand.

I’ve been working closer with FORLOH, and this late-fall stretch is where their gear proves itself. The rain-resistant jacket, the pants with built-in kneepads—built for the wild backcountry. Their new Frontier rib cuff wool beanies, made from 100% Mountain Merino® wool sourced in Wyoming, hit the exact level of warmth needed whether you’re hiking ridge lines or sitting still waiting for the right moment.

Montana provides the rest—quiet, cold, and wide open. This is the season that resets everything and lets me lean into the grounded, artistic side of what I do. Nature, freedom, and the space to create.

Montana skies showed off tonight.

The auroras danced across the valley like wildfire—reds, greens, and purples ripping through the clouds and over the mountains. No filters. No tricks. Just most peoples once-in-a-lifetime show put on by the northern lights.

Shot right here in Northwest Montana under wide-open Montana skies. Nights like this remind me why I’m so blessed to call this place my home.
