Do you think deeply about your birth? What you wish went different. What went well. What you would do again. Maybe you dream of a perfect birth scenario even though you know you are done having babies. Birth is wildly transformational. I believe with each birth we crack open and become someone new. Tonight I invite you to come share your birth story at The Circle in Whitefish. To sift through the shadows and the light. To process your story in a space without judgment. To leave a little lighter. And to leave that pregnant woman at the grocery store alone — because your burden is not hers to carry. But you can process and release it here. This is for all births. Not only the hard ones. The beautiful ones deserve processing too. Snacks and drinks provided. 🌙

Another mirror shot — this time Ande holding Meadow in those early postpartum days. I’m there in the reflection too, smiling behind my camera. Ande and I met when I worked with her as her birth doula and photographer for her first baby. She now facilitates the circle in Kalispell while I facilitate in Whitefish. We have been in community together, I’ve watched her daughter grow, and now I get to support her again as she brings her second baby into the world this September. This is what it means to know your clients over time. I am so honored to be called back. 🌙

A recent report presented at ACOG 2026 found that women with birth plans had higher rates of vaginal birth, early breastfeeding, fewer interventions and lower NICU admissions. I call them birth preferences — and when we work together a large part of our prenatal visits is devoted to them. Not because birth follows a plan. It doesn’t. Birth is a mystery and we never know what journey will unfold. But because when you walk into that room informed — knowing your options, knowing your wishes, knowing you have a voice — everything changes. My job isn’t to make decisions for you. I’m just a guide. What I can do is make sure you understand what your options are so that as your birth unfolds, you can make those decisions with confidence. Your providers can only support your wishes if they know what they are. Birth photography and doula support for Emma. 🌙
