We are sad to report that our longtime friend and companion, Thomas the cat, passed away peacefully this morning. By our estimation, he was 23 years old, which if you can trust the accepted human/cat age ratio, would make him about 108 in cat years. Thomas has been loved and admired by scores of Uptown citizens, many of whom would come to our store strictly to see him (yes, we feel like chopped liver but whaddya gonna do?). Anyone who would get close to Thomas and stand still long enough would soon find him atop their back or shoulder, his way of saying "Hi there!". He will be sorely missed but we feel extremely fortunate to have known such a wise and loving feline soul. Farewell, Sir Tom, we shall see you on the other side!

And that's $159.00 in 1953 dollars. There has always been a very small but dedicated group of stereo fans. If you've never viewed a stereo slide (through a stereo slide viewer), it's kind of like a Viewmaster on steroids. Even rarer were stereo slide projectors, where viewers would wear polarized 3D glasses to see the effect. Kodak labs offered stereo mounts at time of processing up until the late 80's.
