The study of history is often seen as a frivolity or something you read about in your free time. The Department of History at Wichita State disagrees with that sentiment.

In this short 10 minute video, alumni from Wichita State share their stories of how their study of history has enhanced and helped their professional careers. From curators of museums to Federal Judges, the study of history has a larger influence than one might think.

A BIG thank you to all the willing participants in the video and an EXTRA BIG thank you to Dr. Jay Price who got the project rolling!

I am proud to say that my first major video project is now complete! A big thank you to the Wichita State Department of History, those who were interviewed about their experiences, and especially Dr. Jay Price for this great opportunity!

Having a Bachelors in History from Wichita State gave me a myriad of different skills that I use, many of which are covered in the interviews!

I will also be posting the entire 10 minute long video here later this week!

I am also excited to say that there are more videos covering local history in the works as well, and I am ecstatic for what the future holds!

Thank you again to everyone who took part in this great project!
