And we seriously couldn't have asked for a sweeter way to end this year's treasure hunts. 🥹❤️

🎉 Iziaha found the $100 jar at Hickory Creek Recreation Area! 🎉

But here's the best part...

Tomorrow is his 12th BIRTHDAY! 🥳🎂💵

Talk about one heck of an early birthday present! 😂 His family sent us a photo after he found it, and hearing that his birthday is tomorrow made this final hunt even more special.

Happy 12th Birthday, Iziaha!! 🎉 We hope you have an AMAZING birthday tomorrow and have fun deciding what to do with your $100!

Thank you to every single person who has gotten out and searched with us this year. Whether you found a jar, came this close, raced another group to it, brought your kids along, or just followed the chaos from Facebook — you helped make these hunts something we genuinely look forward to. ❤️

We're taking a little break while we prepare to welcome our baby girl and adjust to becoming a family of four, but this isn't the end.

💰🌻 THE FINAL $100 JAR OF 2026 HAS BEEN HIDDEN! 🌻💰

📍 Hickory Creek Recreation Area at John Redmond Reservoir — Coffey County!

The jar is officially out there, and somewhere in the area $100 CASH is waiting to be found! 👀💵

⚠️ A heads-up before you go: The road into the area is VERY muddy right now. We were able to make it through in a 2-wheel-drive crossover, but please use your own judgment based on your vehicle and the conditions when you arrive. Take it slow, be careful, and please don’t tear up the roads trying to get to that $100. ❤️

As always:
🌻 Respect the area and leave it better than you found it.
🌻 No digging, damaging property, or destructive searching.
🌻 Watch your surroundings and wildlife.
🌻 If you find the jar, MESSAGE US ASAP so we can let everyone know the hunt is over!

💛 And one more reminder — this is our LAST treasure hunt of 2026.

With our baby girl getting closer to making her arrival and me taking six weeks off work after she’s born, we’re putting the hunts on pause for the rest of the year so we can focus our finances and attention on our growing family. 🥰

But WILL BE BACK! 💰 We’re planning to start the hunts again sometime after the first of the year.

We've had SO much fun watching you guys race around Kansas looking for these jars this year, and we seriously appreciate everyone who has participated, shared our posts, followed along, or just rooted for the hunters from home. ❤️

💰🌻 COFFEY COUNTY — WE’RE COMING FOR YOU! 🌻💰

After taking last weekend off to focus on Maverick, we’re ready to get back out there tomorrow for another Exploring Kansas $100 Treasure Hunt! ❤️🐾

And this time…

📍 We’re headed to COFFEY COUNTY!

Somewhere in Coffey County, $100 CASH will be hidden and waiting for one of you to find it. 👀💵

Where exactly?

Nice try. 😂 You know we’re not giving THAT away yet.

Once the jar is officially hidden, we’ll post the location and everything you need to start the hunt. Until then, start making your guesses and get those adventure shoes ready!

💛 We also have a little update about the hunts.

Tomorrow’s hunt will be our last $100 hunt for the rest of 2026. With our baby girl getting closer and closer to making her arrival, we need to be a little more careful financially over the next few months. Once she gets here, I’ll also be off work for six weeks, so for now, putting that extra $100 toward our growing family just makes the most sense. ❤️

We absolutely LOVE doing these hunts, and this isn’t goodbye to them! We’re planning to bring back after the first of the year once we’ve had a little time to settle into life as a family of four. 🥰

So let's make this last one of the year a GOOD ONE. 😏

We got out of the house today and wandered over to Eldorado lake for a little bit with the dogs and Cooper. Maverick really needed the nature time. He really loves it. We hoping you're all having a wonderful weekend.

As far as a Maverick update, he's doing better and doing all the things he's supposed to be doing. The steroids he's on area definitely helping him get back to normal.

🌻 A little update about this weekend’s $100 hunt…

We’ve decided to skip the treasure hunt this weekend and move it to next weekend instead. ❤️

Thursday morning, we had a pretty scary situation with Maverick. We believe he may have had a stroke, and after taking him to the vet today, we’ve gotten him started on steroids. Right now, our focus is simply on Mavvy, keeping him comfortable, and giving him the time and attention he needs. 🐾❤️

Our dogs have been part of Exploring Kansas from the very beginning. They’ve ridden countless Kansas backroads with us, explored alongside us, and been part of so many of the adventures you guys have followed over the years. So when one of them isn’t doing well, everything else can wait.

The $100 isn’t going anywhere though. 😉💰 We’ll be back out hiding it next weekend, and we hope you’ll all be ready to hunt!

For now, we’d appreciate some extra love sent Mavvy’s way. 🐾❤️

Someone should set up 24/7 cameras around the big ditch and see what kind of wildlife walk through it. Would be curious if that mountain lion is still hanging around. 👀

Tulsa/Broken Arrow trip this weekend. We Stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott at Woodland Hills. Ate supper at Red Robbins, that place was a lot pricier than we had anticipated but it was amazing food and great service. Then after finding out our hotel didn't come with a free breakfast, we went to the Waffle House down the road. That place was fast and had GREAT service. Wish we had some in Wichita. Then we checked out The Gathering Place for a little bit. That place was really nice too. Lastly we checked out the Aquarium. It was a fun and cool place to check out on a hot summer day to beat the heat. I really wish Wichita would start their own Aquarium and add some waffle houses. We also should get a free playground area park that stretches along the Arkansas River downtown Wichita. That place was really neat.
