I had the pleasure of speaking with an amazing group of middle school girls today about my journey and how I discovered my passion for drone videography.

We talked about the importance of following your interests, pursuing what you love, and believing in your potential, even when the path isn’t always clear.

The day was filled with creativity and excitement as we flew a drone and built vision boards together.

Thank you to Ashley Watkins for the opportunity to share my story and reconnect with the joy of working with young students. It’s something I’ve truly missed!

As I reflect on the past 16 weeks of the Spero Career Readiness Cohort, I am still in awe by the impact it has had on both my personal and professional development. The knowledge and skills I have gained, along with the connections I have made, have left a lasting impression that I will carry forward in my career.

Things are getting real! Finishing this program feels bittersweet, especially when I think about the friends I’ve made along the way. Every week, I’ve embraced opportunities to learn from brilliant speakers, engage in group discussions and breakout sessions, and benefit from the unwavering support of our instructors, all of which have left me feeling deeply grateful and inspired.

I’ve grown in ways that extend far beyond the program, enriched by shared experiences, diverse perspectives, and the encouragement of everyone involved. While I’m thrilled about what lies ahead, I know I’ll miss our routine of coming together, learning, and supporting one another. These bonds and the lessons I’ve learned are only the beginning of a much larger journey.

Today I had an inspiring conversation with Curt Coffman, Barton School Executive in Residence and Spero Team Member, about my TalentSet survey for the Spero Career Readiness Program. Reflecting with Curt on my “why” made me realize I’ve always known my true motivation but often doubted if I could turn it into a fulfilling, financially stable career. The Spero program has reignited my passion and given me hope, while mentors like Curt continually boost my confidence. Tomorrow part two of the program starts, and I’m excited for what’s to come!

We wrapped up Spero Career Readiness One last night and I want to express my gratitude and appreciation to all of our instructors and speakers for their time and knowledge. It was an enlightening experience that has enhanced my skills and preparedness for the future! I am excited for what the next semester holds and ready to apply everything I’ve learned. Week 7 of the Spero Career Readiness Program was insightful and inspiring. Dr. Eric Mota delivered an engaging presentation on Corporate Communication, where he shared valuable insights into the importance of effective communication in the business world. One particularly intriguing aspect of his talk was the story behind the naming of the Promise Bridge, which highlighted how branding and messaging can shape perceptions and create connections within a community. It was a great opportunity to learn about the significance of clear communication in driving successful initiatives.
