This past Friday, I went to Concordia, KS to visit an old World War 2 POW Camp. My friend Chuck is making a video about it which I will share once he releases it. We got to tour one of the original buildings that still stands. There was a fair amount of items on display and alot of history to this facility. There are only 5 structures still standing from the original camp with one being the old guard tower. We stayed until nearly midnight shooting the milky way and star trails with the tower.

I took a vertical and horizontal shot of the tower with the milky way. I think I like the vertical one better but planning a special project so I need a horizontal one as well.

This was from Friday nights storms that blew through quickly. This was taking just south of Beaumont, KS. It was extremely windy and my camera may have taken a spill on my tripod because of said wind but it survived and I kept on snapping photo trying to catch some lightning. 🌩🌩

It has been a hot minute since I got to do any storm photography. A friend texted and say we had mammatus clouds out and so I grabbed the camera and tried to get them before the sun went down. Not bad plus caught some lightning!
