Photo after photo from her throw-away cameras-the only camera she could afford-were so disappointing, she was highly discouraged, and thought she could never take beautiful pictures. Then the digital cameras became accessible, and by age 19 she was able to begin taking the pictures she had seen with her eye but was never able to capture.
