Senior Spotlight Saturday: Genna – Class of 2026

Genna has filled her senior year with memories she'll never forget. From Homecoming and TNT Week to cheering on classmates at school sporting events, helping with Unified Sports, and spending countless hours with her dance team, she has embraced every opportunity to be involved and make a difference.

After graduation, Genna is excited to begin the next chapter of her journey by studying Social Work, a field that reflects her caring nature and desire to help others.

One of the most important lessons she has learned over the last few years is to keep pushing through difficult times and trust that things will get better. Looking back, she is most proud of the person she has become and the growth she has experienced along the way.

Genna credits her dance teachers with having a tremendous impact on her life. Through years of training and encouragement, they helped her discover her self-worth and build the confidence she carries today.

While she's excited for what lies ahead, she'll miss the bond she shares with her dance team—the weekly practices, competitions, and unforgettable moments on stage together.

If she could thank anyone for helping her get to this point, it would be her parents, who have supported her through every challenge and every success.

Her advice to her younger self? "Don't be scared to be yourself."

And what's on her must-do list after graduation? Traveling to Europe.

Genna, congratulations on all you've accomplished. Your resilience, kindness, and confidence will take you far, and we can't wait to see where life leads you next.

Some love stories don't need grand gestures—they're written in the way two people look at each other after years of shared memories, challenges, laughter, and dreams.

Francesca and Charlie remind us that love isn't just about the beginning of the story. It's about choosing each other again and again through every chapter of life.

There is something timeless about a portrait like this—elegant, sophisticated, and filled with the quiet confidence that comes from building a life together.

The years may pass, but love like this never goes out of style.

❤️ Here's to enduring love, unwavering partnership, and the beautiful journey of growing older together.

They say the days are long, but the years are short.

As parents, we get just 18 summers with our children before they begin creating lives of their own. Eighteen summers of bedtime stories, scraped knees, family vacations, laughter, hugs, and moments that seem ordinary at the time—but one day become priceless memories.

Children grow and change so quickly. One day they're stacking blocks on the studio floor, and before you know it, they're walking into kindergarten, high school, and eventually out into the world.

That's why portraits matter.

Not because everything is perfect, but because these moments are real. The mischievous smiles, the tiny fingers, the missing teeth, the giggles, the personalities that are already shining through—these are the things you'll want to remember.

And these three little ones? Absolutely adorable. Their sweet expressions, curious personalities, and sibling connection made every moment of their session a joy to photograph.

Don't wait for the "perfect" time.

Because if you blink, you might miss it.

📸 Capture the moments that matter while they're still little. One day, you'll be so glad you did.

Every senior has a story to tell.

For Jacob, that story is one of confidence, character, and the excitement of everything that lies ahead. Senior portraits are about more than marking a graduation year—they’re about capturing who you are right now, before the next chapter begins.

A great headshot does more than show people what you look like—it helps them feel confident about doing business with you.

It was a pleasure creating these portraits for Caitlin Gartz, Licensed Real Estate Agent with Howard Hanna. Professional, approachable, and polished, Caitlin's images reflect the qualities that help build trust and lasting client relationships.

Whether you're in real estate, finance, law, healthcare, or any client-focused profession, your portrait is often your first introduction. Make sure it represents you at your best.

Our Mini Branding Sessions are designed to do exactly that. Each session includes an in-person consultation, guided posing, multiple looks, and professional retouching to create images you'll be proud to use on your website, LinkedIn profile, marketing materials, and social media.

Because your personal brand deserves more than a quick snapshot.

Senior Spotlight Saturday: Emily DePlato – Class of 2027

Emily DePlato has had an incredible senior year, balancing academics, leadership, and a full roster of activities. She’s been the Captain of Varsity Field Hockey and Flag Football, a dedicated member of Band, and participated in 12 school clubs. Beyond school, she’s been actively involved with the Erie County Commission on the Status of Women, showing her commitment to community and leadership.

Looking ahead, she’s excited for the opportunities college will bring — meeting new people and diving into new experiences. Reflecting on the past few years, she’s learned that no matter how tough a situation seems, she is strong enough to handle it and grow from the experience.

Her future goals are ambitious: she hopes to graduate with a double major in psychology and kinesiology and start working on her master’s in psychology. While she’ll miss seeing her friends and family every day, she’s grateful for their support — especially her parents, who have been her biggest cheerleaders since childhood.

Fun fact: she’s surprisingly skilled at Musical Chairs, winning in front of the whole school during Homecoming week! And she’s looking forward to not having to wake up super early for school clubs every morning.

Emily DePlato’s senior year is a testament to her hard work, determination, and zest for life — we can’t wait to see all that she accomplishes next!

They greet us at the door, curl up beside us at the end of long days, make us laugh without trying, and somehow become part of every chapter of our lives.

The hardest part about loving a dog is knowing their time with us is never long enough.

That’s why preserving their memory matters. Not just quick snapshots on a phone—but portraits that capture their personality, their spirit, and the way they looked at you.

Whether playful, gentle, goofy, or regal, every pet deserves to be remembered beautifully.

At Short Street Photographers, we welcome pets both in the studio and throughout our newly renovated garden spaces, creating portraits that become treasured keepsakes long after the paws stop padding down the hallway.

Because they may only be here for part of our lives… but to them, we are their whole world.
