This is something I worked on a number of months ago. I picked up the doll from a Goodwill for a few bucks and wanted to focus on the red in the outfit. Did all the shots up in my attic, just finally got around to editing them and popping them up here.

Hey all, sorry for my long disappearance. But I am back now and I'm staying. This post will always be pinned to the top as it's going to contain some new information about the business and some of it's workings. Look in the Notes section for details on photo services.

I grew up in my father's photo business, and as some of you may know, I lost my father last year. He dedicated his time not only to working on his craft, but helping others learn and hone it as well. So I want to start offering lessons to honor that. The lessons will be for learning photography, as well as learning some basic Photoshop skills. Contact me for more info on these as the lessons can and will be adapted to each person and what they wish to learn.

I'll also be starting up a blog for MBenton Studios. It will probably start off very irregularly, detailing certain sessions/projects I work on and how or why I did what I did. I will post a link for this blog as soon as the first post is up.

I'm going to be trying to do some photo events. These will be days where I will pick a location and be there for a good portion of the day, and for a discounted price, you can purchase a small time slot on the day for having your photos done either of yourself, your family, pets, whatever you wish. I'm working on the first one of these right now, it will be in the fall at Gilette's Castle in East Haddam, CT, so stay tuned for more details on that.

Lastly, a (sort of) big announcement. From now on, any and all returning customers will automatically receive 20% off their final price for portrait sessions, and 10% off any event photography, as a thank you for choosing me to be your photographer.

UPDATE:

MBenton Studios now has it's own online gallery and it's up and running. Head on over to the link listed below. Everything is done through the site: printing, framing, even canvas wrapped photos. I've started with a handful of images for now and hope to be adding more very soon. If I have anything on my page or anything from one of our sessions that you would like done, let me know and I can post it for you!

Hey guys, I'm finally back and able to put a decent amount of focus into the business again!! I'll be making some changes to the page including the following:

New packages and new prices : Just about everything in the "Notes" section will be coming down and be readjusted sometime in the next week or so. The big changes will be with the wedding package, and I'll be making it so print options are an additional charge instead of included (there's been confusion with this in the past so just to help simplify it I will be separating the two)

Late fees : I will be adding late fees to all sessions/packages as well. Too many times I have had people change a meeting or a session at the last second and it's very frustrating. From now on I will be requiring at least 24 hours notice for any changes otherwise a late fee will be added to the price (With the exception of having to reschedule due to weather or a serious family emergency).

New photos coming up : Despite not doing anything with the business I have still been out with my camera and I will hopefully be adding these in the coming weeks.
