Hello Everyone! We are really great at neglecting our page, but in light of recent events, that is going to change. If you somehow haven't heard the news, Southeastern Camera shut down, rather unexpectedly. Although we had been somewhat loosely affiliated with them in the past, the film lab has been its own entity for some time now. So if you are worried about the camera store closing, fear not! We are still here, still processing film, right down the street from the camera store.
And, because we don't believe in leaving local photographers hanging, we are expanding! We recently took over the unit next door to the lab, which we had opened as a photo studio. Although we still hope to keep a studio space, we are going to shift gears just a bit and start selling a number of photographic essentials here at the lab. It's gonna require moving some things around, and a late night or ten, possibly even a name change, but we will ALWAYS process film, we're just adding some retail.
Film has been ordered, along with darkroom paper for local students, because we know you have assignments and due dates. We will be stocked with that as of this Wednesday. We will also be stocked with batteries for nearly any film camera. And over the coming days and maybe weeks, we will be offering more and more products to fill the void left by the camera store closing. We can't flip a switch and sell everything overnight, but we are getting things ordered as quickly as possible so we can keep everyone shooting without missing a beat.
We are committed to keeping a local source for all your photographic needs, both film and digital. As things evolve, the film lab will continue to run as normal, we'll just be getting skinny with some of the equipment to make room for retail!
