The Horneman Enterprises crew has taken Harrisburg, Lincoln & Lancaster Railroad No. 331 (Formerly known as No. 63 "Leviathan") from completely torn down to the boiler, to operational in 5 weeks. The 1472 Day Federally Mandated Inspection was completed over the course of 10 months, a huge accomplishment.

On top of the 1472 Day Inspection requirements, we reengineered, made, and installed all new driving boxes and bearings, engineered and installed new spring rigging and springs, fabricated a new blast nozzle and delivery pipes, performed a total rebuild of the locomotive's air compressor, calculated a new Form 4 in-house, modified the locomotive's lubrication systems, turned the wheel hubs to improve lateral motion, and resurfaced all journals.

Hello! It's been a while. Here's a totally UNEDITED (and not filmed well) video of 611 making its way west to Strasburg last Wednesday. Please forgive me if there's any strong language in this video, sometimes us foamers get a little rowdy

It was more of a test to see how our New Nikon D5300 would do, and I'm pretty impressed.

Although their might not be a flame in the firebox, stepping into the cab of a steam locomotive is always a nostalgic moment.

9/28/17, I had traveled up to Amish country for a personal trip, and ran up on what was a private charter with the newly rebuilt No. 89 pulling the train. Here the train is speeding over Carpenter's Crossing.

Here’s a neat phone video from yesterday afternoon.

W&W’s No. 58 ran an abbreviated test run after the veterans day excursions concluded. This would be 58’s first run since 2013, after undergoing Federally Mandated inspection and a rebuild. Thanks to the crew and volunteers that helped restore 58 and get her back to operating condition.

Hello All! It’s been almost 10 months since DRP has last posted, and rest assured, we’re all good. Personal lives have taken over our adventures, so we have been kind of absent from the scene.

We plan to change that. We will try to post photos daily from the past few months, and hope you all enjoy them. For the people who’ve been asking waiting, thanks for sticking around.

The photos included in this post have been taken and previously posted through our personal social media accounts. Enjoy!

Bancroft Mills was once a place known as one of the busiest and world's premier cotton finishing mills in the world, now stands in disrepair alongside the Brandywine Creek. 2 Fires have ravaged the mills in the past 2 Years, giving the once bustling factory another chapter in its interesting story.
