šŸŒ» SUNFLOWERS ARE BACK!! šŸŒ»

If you missed sunflower sessions this summer, youā€™ve got another chance! Old River Farms planted a second round of sunflowers and zinnias this year, and they decided to surprise us by blooming a little earlier than expected!

That means Iā€™m opening up September sunflower sessions starting NOW!

The sunflowers will be the star of the show, but the zinnias are blooming too, so we can incorporate both into your session if youā€™d like.

These are perfect for families, kids, siblings, seniorsā€¦ or just because you love sunflowers.

Theyā€™ll only be available for a limited time in September while the flowers are looking their best, so if you missed them this summer, donā€™t wait on round two!

SANTA SESSIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR BOOKING! šŸŽ…

Itā€™s hard to believe this will be our 11th year creating Santa magic with so many of your families!

The photos below are a little walk down memory lane through 10 years of Santa Sessions and 10 completely different custom sets ā€” and now weā€™re ready to create Year 11!

We have TWO exciting things that are brand new for 2026:

An ALL-NEW custom set! This year weā€™re taking you inside Santaā€™s Library/Sitting Room at the North Pole, filled with rich vintage Christmas details, bookshelves, a beautiful sofa, a real piano and lots of opportunities for those magical interactive moments we love creating.

And we have a NEW SANTA for 2026! We canā€™t wait to welcome him into the studio and introduce him to all of you.

And yes ā€” Santa Bax will also be back for 2026! šŸŽ…šŸæ His sessions are available by appointment, and youā€™ll find a separate Santa Bax option in the shop.

Our 2026 Santa Session dates are:

šŸŽ„ Sunday, November 1
šŸŽ„ Saturday, November 7
šŸŽ„ Wednesday, November 11 ā€” Veterans Day

We have our standard sessions as well as an extended session option and there are zero interest payment plans available.

Appointments are limited, and weā€™ve released a limited number of times for our initial schedule.

The tourists are heading home, which means one of my FAVORITE times of year is almost hereā€¦ localsā€™ summer!

Labor Day is almost here, the beaches are about to get a little quieter, and September and October evenings are such a beautiful time for family pictures at the beach. Seriously, the sunsets are always unreal!!

This session from last fall is the perfect example. Gorgeous light, an almost-empty beach, and plenty of time for both the pretty posed pictures AND a little playing in the water at the end.

If family pictures have been sitting on your ā€œwe really need to do that this yearā€ list, now is the time to get them on the calendar!

Sometimes you have to risk your life for the shot. šŸ˜‚

Okay, that might be a little dramaticā€¦ but when Michael from told us we were welcome to head out toward the cows for some pictures, he also casually added, ā€œJust watch out for snakes.ā€

Cool. Cool cool cool.

Everyone else had appropriate shoes on. Me? Flip-flops. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

So picture me making my way through that tall grass, camera in hand, watching every single step and praying nothing slithered across my feet (and trying not to p*e myself lol).

But we made it, no snakes were encountered, and THIS was the result. Totally worth it!

Before that sweet little newborn I shared the other day arrivedā€¦ we did these photos!

I shared one of my favorites from this maternity session a couple weeks ago, but there were way too many pretty ones not to share the rest!

We had the prettiest evening at the beach and got a little bit of everything ā€” mama by herself, mom and dad, the whole family, and one pretty amazing sunset to finish it off.

And now that their little guy is officially here and they are a party of 5! ā¤ļø
