This cute little surprise proposal brought a damn tear to my eye and ruined the photos. lol. No it didn’t ruin the photos but it’s hard sometimes not to get emotional.

It might not be everyone but I damn sure love to see people that love each other to the fu***ng max. It feels like to me anyways, that you need to have that in this industry to really give all you can to your couples. But what do I know?

On a cold rainy day in January, two people in love didn’t let “bad weather” hold them back from a day full of laughs, stories shared, family gathering from all over and a small group of friends. These two are Princeton alumni and have a love for the campus, as do we all, and so that’s where they had their ceremony followed by an intimate dinner where good conversation, a few toasts and smiles filled an already love filled room.

Your wedding doesn’t have to be a “social media” focused event. It’s about you and should reflect that in the venue, details and everything in between.

Well damn, this wedding was almost 3 years ago now and feels like yesterday.
It was an incredibly important wedding for me. It was my cousin who was getting married and we had emotions flowing like the weather changing.
The day stated out sunny and beautiful and couldn’t have been any nicer. Cool temps, blue sky’s and a dog (maple) there so you KNOW it was a good day!

Right before the ceremony started the wind speed REALLY picked up and damn near carried the guests away Mary Poppins style. Couldn’t stop this ceremony though. The groom, groomsmen and bride all arrived to the ceremony in old hot rods built by each of them, and left the same way. Half way through the ceremony the sky darkened but still held out. Fast forward to the beginning of the reception and the sky opened and absolutely down poured for the remainder of the night, but again, some rain damn sure couldn’t hold back this group!

The weather changes, all the time and sometimes multiple times a day, but don’t let that determine your mood for the day. You’re still GETTING MARRIED!
If it rains, f**k it, let it rain and let’s take pictures in it. If it’s sunny, great! Let’s also take pictures in that! But don’t worry about the weather you have no control over that. Focus on what’s most important, YOUR WEDDING!

A continuation of photos from the previous post:

This wedding was filled with emotions; from puppies loving to a heartfelt first look, looking at photos of loved ones past and hearing the beautiful words spoke during speeches it seemed like there was an intentional love spread throughout the day. From tears to laughs the day was incredibly emotional and intimate.

I think weddings are like couples, everyone is completely different and unique. And just like couples and weddings, each weddings photos are different. While I look to be consistent and intentional I don’t want your photos to have the same look as everyone else’s. Why mute the loud colors you had present? Why add saturation to a gloomy day that brought the moody vibes? Why change what really was? My intentions are to enhance the beauty that was and is your wedding day because in the end thats what you want to remember.

Let’s talk dogs!
I could talk about fur babies all damn day but more to the point, dogs at weddings.
Some people choose not to have their dog(s) there for a variety of reasons and I can totally understand that; BUUUUUT if you have the ability to I will always vote YES to dog(s) or any pet really to share in your day with you. Let’s be honest, your their whole fu***ng world and on a day where your life is changing and celebrating love between their parents, I think they would love to celebrate with you!

So about these specific photos. Logan had the ability to spend a little of his parents wedding day with them and totally stole the show (as he should) and I’m beyond grateful he did. So when I found out yesterday that he crossed the rainbow bridge and went to doggy heaven (or wherever they go, if not heaven it’s damn sure a bark park with endless treats) it really hit me. I love our girl more than the world so I can understand the heartbreak that comes with that goodbye. I had to look back at these photos and smile with a tear at how wonderful it was that he got to share in that day full of love.
