Today kicks off the first day of PRIDE MONTH! So I want to celebrate my couples a little 🌈 EXTRA 🌈

Charity and Melissa are two of the kindest and most genuine people you will ever meet who can also make you belly laugh without warning. The way that these two love each other and just absolutely light up around each other is inspiring and anyone would be lucky to have found a love like they have. The number of times I cried at their wedding is a little bit extra 😂

Pride is important for SO many reasons, and most importantly, for the safety of the people we love. No one deserves to have to hide who they are, no one deserves to NOT be able to marry whoever they choose, and if that makes you uncomfortable - the unfollow button is just a click away (and good riddance if so). I work very hard to provide a safe space for ALL couples, no matter what gender, color, background, it doesn’t matter. A human is a human and I LOVE your love. ❤️

That's it. That's the whole secret. Be goofy, be unfiltered, ugly laugh, ugly cry, take my direction - or make it your own! Not every pose is created equal. The more YOU you act like, the better your photos will be.

Good morning everybody - it's day! I'm Allison! I'm the owner of Lightbloom Photography and the crazy person who decided to start her own business. Every day has a new challenge as a business owner, but honestly, when I think about stopping and doing something else, the idea of working for someone else just sounds awful to me. I may always be working, but at least I'm working towards something. At least I'm growing something. At least I'm getting to make pretty art and pretty moments to last a lifetime. It's been about a month of expanding and having two amazing associate photographers who work with me, we've already booked a couple weddings with them as the lead photographers! How crazy is that? In just a month? I'm really glad that Erin and Neal are with me, and I'm so glad you guys have received them so well. I can't wait to keep growing and I can't wait for everyone to get to work with these two amazing photographers. Now everyone go have a WONDERFUL weekend! I'll be heading to Bald Head Island tomorrow to second shoot with and I'm ready for a beautiful day on a beautiful island 💛

Where’s your next adventure? In June I finish off my wedding season and then I’m off to London & Greece. Two places I’ve already been before but definitely deserve extra visits. 🩷

Travel is always changing. Flight prices have doubled. I had to get a visa for the UK for the first time in my life. Everything is expensive and unfamiliar. But I’d rather spend my money on adventures than just staying home and working for the rest of my life.

There’s just something I love a little extra about the details of every wedding ✨ each day is so unique to each couple. No two are ever the same. Time is so fleeting on a wedding day that I get lucky to have a few moments to myself of calm and quiet while I photograph these. It’s my creative time. After all the vendors and all the planning and the months and months of effort all come together. It’s when the magic happens.
