If there’s one thing I’ve grown to love about living in the Wilmington area, it’s extended family sessions!

Living in a destination location means families travel from all over the country to spend time together… sometimes gathering in one place for the very first time in years! Those moments are precious, and they deserve to be remembered.

As summer plans start coming together, if you find yourself surrounded by your big ol’ family at the beach, around the dinner table, enjoying a week together on the coast, I’d love to help capture it all.

The laughter, the chaos, the grandparents, cousins, and every connection in between. ❤️

It feels like it’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced myself around here!

So hi 👋 I’m April! I’m a lifestyle photographer, artist, wife, and mama to three little ones who keep life beautifully full and (very) wonderfully chaotic.

I’ve been behind my camera for over 16 years now, and photography is so much more than just photos to me. It’s a way of preserving a feeling… the quiet, in-between moments, special connections, movement, the atmosphere, the things in life you never want to forget.

I’m drawn to natural light, earthy tones, beachy dunes, tall grass, cozy newborn snuggles, barefoot families, emotional weddings, and images that feel natural, rather than perfectly posed.

When I’m not photographing families or editing late at night, you can usually find me:

– painting or creating something
– spending time outside with my kids
– listening to true crime podcasts or shows while folding endless amounts of laundry
– chasing slower, more intentional living (shoutout to gems like )
– or trying to romanticize the ordinary moments of motherhood and everyday life

More than anything, I want the people I photograph to feel comfortable, seen, and genuinely feel themselves.
