HAPPY BIRTHDAY, !!!!!!!
I'm going off my typical posts for a friend and someone that means so much to me and has played such a pivotal part in my life! If I can help get any word out about her care for the community, I will!

In our church newsletter, Christy shared,

Why?
It’s not really for me.
For the 14th year in a row, I’m celebrating my birthday by begging for a $25 donation to provide a backpack (filled with the essentials) for a needy child in Wilson. Each year we’ve had an opportunity to provide more than 400 backpacks before school begins.
The goal is 550 this year for my 55th year of life. Growing up in a household where there wasn’t much “extra” my parents ALWAYS made sure I had new notebooks, paper and pencils. To this day, I still love freshly sharpened pencils, new crayons and just walking through the school supply section at any store. Staples is like a trip to Disney...... almost.
My point is, every child deserves to start the school year with the essentials. Would you be willing to partner with me to make this happen?
