A big thank you to Misty Mountain Meadworks for now carrying complimentary copies of the directory. If you’ve never visited, you’re in for a treat. As Virginia’s oldest operating meadery, this family-owned farm winery crafts traditional mead—often called honey wine or the “nectar of the gods”—using honey from their own bees right here in the Shenandoah Valley. It’s a unique local experience and well worth the visit.

We're excited to announce a brand-new community tradition!
Join us on Saturday, October 17, 2026, for the inaugural Witch Walk 2026—a fun community stroll through Historic Old Town Wi******er benefiting the Youth Development Center.

We're honored that this inaugural event will benefit the The YDC and the important work they do for children and families in our community.

Gather your friends, dust off your favorite witchy attire, and save the date! We're planning for an afternoon stroll, and we'll announce the official start time when registration opens later this summer.

We had such a nice evening visiting the Middletown Farmers Market! 🌽🍅🌻
It was great to walk around, make connections with local vendors, and enjoy the welcoming community atmosphere.

We also had the opportunity to meet Mayor Charles Harbaugh and chat for a few minutes—it was a pleasure to connect with him while we were there.

The Shenandoah Valley has so many wonderful community events, and this was another great one. 💙💚

☀️🌿 Summer Solstice Ritual 🌿☀️

The Summer Solstice arrives at 4:24 a.m. on June 21 in our area, marking the longest day of the year and the official beginning of summer.

To honor the season with us, here’s something fun you can do.

Gather a clean glass jar with a lid and add an herb or flower that reminds you of summer. Fill the jar with water.

But the most important part is this:
As you’re preparing your jar, take a moment to reflect.

What has grown in your life so far this year?
What are you still nurturing?

Seal the jar and place it in a sunny windowsill or outdoors to greet the Summer Solstice sun.
As evening approaches, strain out the herbs and save the water.

Over the coming week, use it however you wish:
✨Add it to a bath
✨Water a favorite plant
✨Mist it around your home
✨Use it in a personal ritual of gratitude

Each time you use it, remember the growth you’ve already experienced—and the growth still unfolding.
