In lieu of the recent posting of the Eclipse across Europe this past week. I decided to take my camera outside and just point it at the sun. As a snapped a few photos, my sons start yelling at me. "Are u crazy? Ull go blind!!." U know what is funny? I was told that Id go blind if I played with a certain part of ur body. Kinda why I dont wear glasses. Ok back to the topic.

I have a K&F Concepts ND10000 and ND1000000 filters. This allows you to take photos of the sun at 16.6 and 20 stops of light respectively.

*Note: Please use solar filters if u attempt to take these types of photos

BTW. Do u see the sun spots and the texture of the sun?

Is this the beginning of the end for the copper bracket? Would the 2A look to also opt out of the Copper?

🏀 1A BASKETBALL UPDATE

A change could be coming to the 1A basketball postseason.

The AIA 1A Conference has voted to opt out of the Copper Division Basketball Tournament for the 2026–27 season following consideration and polling of 1A Conference schools.

The decision is especially worth following for our Native and rural basketball communities, including programs such as Dishchii’bikoh, Fort Thomas, Greyhills Academy, Rock Point, Red Mesa, Rough Rock, Shonto Prep, St. Michael and others competing at the 1A level.

The request appears on today’s AIA Executive Board agenda and is awaiting Board action.

Apache Nation Athletics will continue following the decision and what it could mean for our area teams this upcoming basketball season.
