I spent a couple of hours winding through the boardwalks and paved paths trying to capture that crisp, winter-woods energy along the Suwanee Creek Trail earlier this year. Even in the dead of winter, I found these bare trees beautiful as the sun turned everything amber.

Gray skies, Spanish moss, and perfectly still waters. The bayou has a quiet magic that you have to experience to truly understand. I didn't quite know what to expect but found this stillness and perfect reflections while speeding around in an airboat to be a really neat combination.

Love old barns! Part of the upcoming new extension to Helen Putnam Regional Park, there are some really charismatic buildings that will eventually be restored and used by the parks. The one I found most interesting was the "milking barn". The inside shot above shows the 'Milking Parlor' where the cows would line up to be milked.

A sneak peek at a future Sonoma County treasure! Spent some time capturing the rustic charm of Scott Ranch in Petaluma. Before too long, these historic red barns, weathered fences, and golden hills will officially become the newest extension of Helen Putnam Regional Park. After decades of passing the Watson Historic School along the way to the coast, I finally had an opportunity to visit inside. It's like a time capsule with most items period-specific, including the old school desks that date back over 100 years. I had been wanting to see the inside for years and finally got lucky!
