A really special “pinch me” moment over here 🤍

I’m so honored to share that I’ve been invited into Société Privée, a collective of luxury wedding professionals from around the world who are committed to creating exceptional work and even more exceptional experiences.

What drew me in most is the heart behind it all. A community that truly values collaboration over competition, and cares deeply about not just what we create, but how we serve.

This feels like a catalyst for so much of what’s ahead. As we step into 2026, we’re becoming even more intentional with every part of the experience. From the moment you land on our site, to the way your story is captured, to the final delivery of your film. Every touchpoint matters, and we want it to feel thoughtful, elevated, and truly personal.

This is just one of a few exciting things coming for 2026, but it holds so much of the why behind everything else.

Before you book your videographer, ask them THIS question 👇🏼

❔How do they approach a wedding day? ❔

Do they talk about rigid shot lists and must-get moments? Or do they talk about anticipating moments as they unfold, even when nothing goes exactly as planned?

This question gets to the heart of how someone handles the unscripted, unposed, in-between moments.

The hug right after family photos.
The quiet squeeze of a hand.
The moments you didn’t even realize were happening.

Those moments are never on a timeline. And they matter sooooo much! They quite literally make up the genuine moments of your day.

To our 2026 couples:

I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on 2025 lately… and dreaming about what I want 2026 and 2027 to feel like. 🤍

If I’m being honest, I just want everything to feel *more* intentional. More deliberate. More personal. Not only for our couples, but for our team and the way we show up to each incredible day we get the honor of being a part of.

I want every couple, no matter what their wedding looks like, to feel like they’re getting our absolute best. ✨ An experience that feels thoughtful, elevated, and deeply considered.

The kind where you feel seen and like your moments matter as much as to us as they do to you. 🫶🏼

2026 is already starting to ramp up and there is so much excitement over here at Anchored. We’re refining, refreshing, and raising the bar while keeping the same heart behind it all.

As we look ahead to 2026, my heart feels incredibly full. This past season has been one of growth, grounding, good challenge, renewed creativity, and deep gratitude.

I’m so thankful for:
🤍 a good God who never ceases to provide in abundance
🤍 the couples and families who trust me with their stories
🤍 the vendors and creatives who feel like friends
🤍 the community that continues to encourage me in ways both big and small.

This work inspires me every day, and it’s such an honor to keep showing up with intention, care, and excitement for what’s ahead. I’m more motivated than ever to serve well, tell stories honestly, and create something meaningful together.

So grateful, so expectant, and so excited for all that 2026 will hold. 🤍

Wow I have been so behind on posting ALLLLL the incredible days that have made up 2025, but finally emerging from my editing cave and I just had to highlight these two and their precious day!

Lily & Jacob have forever imprinted themselves on my brain. From the VERY first time meeting them at a fall mini session 💛🍂 to capturing their wedding day and all its beauty - these two have been a light and a joy.

Literally smiling ear to ear as I type this out because I’m just thinking about how much fun we’ve had in this whole process!!

Lily & Jacob wanted this day to really be focused on Jesus and loving their people well and I was like.. y’all.. say LESS. I’m IN!!

Truly feel so honored to have our team capture this day on photo and video so I get to edit their FULL day from both mediums. 🥹💛

And what a day it was. From high school sweethearts to HUSBAND AND WIFE!! Truly could go on and on about how grateful I was (and still am) to have been trusted with such precious memories. Not only for these two but ALL of our couples!! 🤍🤍🤍

⭐️ 2024 RECAP ⭐️ Part I:
This has been a year of great joy, great challenges, lots of stretching and adapting, lots of undeserved blessings, surprises and SOOOO much to be thankful for.

As I reflect on the 2024 year here at Anchored I thought it best to highlight just SOME of our favorite moments & incredible couples in superlative form 😎

🌟 Most likely to be featured on Peaky Blinders: Marty & Megan. Truly being at their wedding was like taking a step into another era 🎩

🌟Most likely to be sponsored by Nike: Oskar and Kelsey ☑️ These two are extra special to me since I went to college with Oskar (go Thunder!) Getting to see their vision and ALL their swag come to life was the BEST

🌟 Best groomsmen entrances / best secret handshake: Sarah + Will 😎🤝🏼 by far one of, if not THE BEST groomsmen entrances we’ve seen. These guys did not disappoint 😂😂😂 also we love a solid bride/groom handshake

🌟Best champagne pop: Shannon + Vincent 🥂🍾 Y’all. This was EXQUISITE. I think even Shannon was surprised at how explosive it was hahahah 😂

🌟 Most likely to get a text from: Ashley + Jerid (in the BEST way). I always tell my brides that they can text me anytime about anything. And I genuinely LOVE it!! I would get the best ideas, thoughts and messages from these two during the whole process. And the BEST most exciting news to put a cherry on top of the whole experience 🥹

🌟 Most INSANE sunset: Elizabeth + Peter 🌅 need I say more?? 🤩

🌟 Most attention to detail: Kelli + Nick 🔍✨ These two had the MOST and just perfectly placed details throughout their whole day including light up cowboy hats and disco balls!! 🪩

🌟Most unique weekend moment: Tatum + Noah 🏃‍♀️👟Ok. I knew immediately that these were my people when they invited me to their family 5K the day before the wedding. And in lieu of a rehearsal dinner; they picked a pancake bfast 🧇. They win 🥇

🌟 Best wedding colors: Madelyn + Eric 🍁🍃🍂 And I don’t mean dresses / suits. I mean the COLORS! An INSANE Fall wedding in Maine set the stage for a weekend that I will legit never forget.

PART ONE:
💛 Our incredible team 💛

I can’t talk about our current team before acknowledging the people who made Anchored what it was in the past. We said goodbye to Luis this year 😢 To say we are sad to see him go is an understatement, but truly so excited to see what he accomplishes next. We know whatever he works on will be gold as we experienced his talent firsthand. Couldn’t be more thankful for his service + insane skill/reliability over the years. For our couples who worked with Luis - feel free to drop a little note of praise for him 🧡

As we look ahead - we celebrate our team entering 2024. 🎉🍾🎊

CHICAGO CREW:
Most of you know our beloved Andrew! (Literally always hear our couples sing his praises) 🫶🏼 Andrew has been with us since 2021 + is one of the most reliable humans I know. He is CRAZY artistic & creative. Whenever I’m editing his work I’m CONSTANTLY inspired. He brings an equally thoughtful and fun energy to all weddings 🤍 Seriously I wish all of our couples could sit down with him & chat because he may be one of the interesting men alive haha

And now we are so excited to introduce our newest member - Kurt!! Kurt joined us this year and will be forging ahead with our couples for 2024. Having Kurt join our team feels like divine timing. He is SUCH a work horse and probably shot double the amount of weddings that I (Katie) shot last year. He, like Andrew, has such an artistic eye. And if you can’t tell from the pics he is a BLAST to be around 🤣 His go-to gear setup is one that would make most jealous (including me). He is always on the prowl for THE shot & always nails it!

Ahh! Just so grateful for our team and how God has blessed Anchored 🙌🏼 so much to be thankful for from 2023 and cannot wait for 2024!!! Especially with this crew 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
