Oh my gosh, this makes me so happy. 😀 🎄🎅Definitely test your envelopes first. Light is better. However, I have tried many glues, and they can sometimes make the envelopes wavy. I typically use glue sticks, but they can get messy. I love this tip!! Let me know how you like it.

This photo is from my first roll of film I ever took. It was the first photo I manually printed on an enlarger in the darkroom. It was the first photo I turned in for a grade in school. After I got an A on the assignment, I was offered the opportunity to take photography as major credit (more than an elective) as a sophomore. That meant doing twice as much work as the other students, coming in on my lunch period, and developing twice as many photos. In return, I would get a grade that would weigh my GPA as a major. I was like, sign me up!!

I’d say it was the first time I felt actually obsessed with doing something. Not many people can say they have been doing their hobby for 25 years and turned it into a profession.

This was the first time I realized I had a superpower. As a photographer, you can freeze time. Create a moment, movement, and a memory.

I’m almost done editing all my fall photos, crazy to think this was my first. This keeps me motivated as I finish my last stretch. I’ve come so far and I am so thankful 🤍

These are some examples of the modern look. You get the choice! And I will have white or the textured cloth. That works well for the babies! I have been doing these for my son every year on his birthday. They are my favorite to look back on 🥹😭🤍🌟

🌟Date: November 16, 8:00 am - 10:00 am

🤍 What you get: 10 digital images in color and black-and-white—your choice of classic heirloom or modern. You will have a print release, but I recommend that heirloom prints get printed through my printer. I will bring pricing and examples to the session.

How many sessions should you book? (Each is 10 minutes)
1 child - 1 session
2 children -1 session, $100 additional fee (don’t worry, I work fast!)
3 children - 2 sessions
4 children - 2 sessions $ 50 additional fee (and cookies and coffee for mom)

There are no additional fees after the session. Your fee covers the rental of the space, my shooting/editing time, quick turnaround, and the print release. However, I do recommend my printer.

I have officially edited 101 family sessions, 1 wedding, 2 newborn, and baptisms. 23 sessions to finish efiting, I see the finish line!

I don't share many photos of my sessions until I start seeing them on Instagram. A lot of people like to keep photos as a surprise or private. So, not sharing photos doesn't mean I haven't been working like crazy. I think I've been at my desk for 50+ hours for 6 weeks editing. 😜 send good vibes to help me finish 🤍

Today, I had a full-circle moment! I had the best time talking to The Joseph Sears School 7th and 8th graders about my photography career! I actually started taking photos when I was 15, on a manual camera 📷 with negatives . I majored in photography in high school, and many of my projects involved walking around and taking photos behind their school because I lived next to it. I found some old negatives of photos I took in 2002 (scanned below).

I have learned so much since I was 15. I never thought I would be a professional photographer. However, I’m so thankful that taking photos is still part of my life. I have always been obsessed, and you rarely find a camera not in my hand.

Thanks so much for having me today; I hope I’ve inspired some future photographers! Or at least inspired them to take better photos in their photography unit 🤍🩶🖤
