I will be having to ask for a deposit on a custom now. Right now I'm working for beans anyway.

I've had my first few flakes and I can't afford for it to continue. I am still learning and I am not trying to get rich...yet... and my prices reflect that. Remember, if you want a price, we have to concrete your choice of materials. Sure the blade may cost $XX but add some $400 fossilized ivory and that cost just skyrocketed. t this quite often. The scenario usually finishes like this. "When is their birthday?" "In 3 weeks..." Sorry, I can't help. I'd love to make them a knife, but I can't in that time frame. It takes a long time to hand craft a knife (and sheath!) and I work full time and am a student also. I know everyone wants everything right now. Me too. But realistically I need time and the more I get, the better your knife will be for it. Maybe put their deposit down for them? Of course, all of this is negotiable and I'm mostly reasonable. Family and friends will have to have a photo I.D., background check, and at least two references in addition to the deposit.... hahaha
