Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Homicide Investigation:

Walkertown NC – The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) continues investigating an early-morning homicide. At approximately 5:55 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, FCSO deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 4700 block of New Walkertown Road to assist agency EMS. Upon arrival, they discovered one person and a canine suffering from gunshot wounds. The 16-year-old juvenile and his pet canine had
been shot and both succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene. FCSO Investigative Services Division has assumed the investigation of this homicide. It is an open and ongoing investigation.

INCIDENT ALERT: Shooting in the 2700 Block of Piedmont Circle
The Winston-Salem Police Department is investigating a shooting which occurred in the 2700 block of Piedmont Circle.

WHO:
VICTIM – two adult males (names withheld at this time)
SUSPECT – unknown
WHEN: April 2, 2026 at 10:13pm
WHERE: 2700 Block of Piedmont Circle

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT:
The Winston-Salem Police Department responded to a fight in progress involving a large crowd of people in the 2700 block of Piedmont Circle. During the fight, shots were fired and two adult males received gunshot wounds. They were both transported to a local hospital by personal vehicles and are both being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Their names are being withheld at this time. This incident is under investigation.

WHERE: 200 block Jonestown Rd.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF INCDENT: On 04/02/22026 at 10:43 PM, WSPD officers responded to the 400 block of Jonestown Rd. on an unknown trouble call. Officers located the victim who reported being robbed and shot by 3 juveniles while walking in the 200 block of Jonestown Rd. The victim was transported to a local hospital and admitted for treatment. Investigation is ongoing.
