Paradise Cove is one of those venues where light, water, tropical scenery, and Florida weather can completely transform your wedding photos—but getting the most from it takes a little planning.

After photographing weddings here, these are some of the things we encourage our couples to consider:

☀️ Plan your timeline around the light. Leave breathing room for portraits instead of squeezing them between the ceremony and reception.

👰 Give yourself 15–20 minutes for bridal portraits before the ceremony. Once guests arrive, the day moves incredibly fast.

🌬️ Embrace the waterfront breeze. Movement in your hair, dress, or veil can create some of the most romantic, cinematic photographs.

🌅 Protect your golden-hour portrait time. That warm light over the water doesn’t last long—and it can produce some of the most beautiful images of the entire wedding day.

🌧️ Don’t fear a little Florida rain. Reflections, dramatic skies and backlighting can turn unexpected weather into something extraordinary.

🌙 Don’t skip nighttime portraits. After dark, Paradise Cove becomes an entirely different canvas for dramatic lighting, silhouettes and cinematic wedding photography.

📸 And most importantly, give your photographer room to create. Some of the strongest photographs aren’t on a shot list. They happen when you have enough time to be present while your photographer watches for beautiful light, movement and genuine emotion.

Some love stories begin in the most unexpected places. 🤍
Miranda and Jeffrey met in medical school — where long days, late nights, and the pressure of becoming physicians have a way of showing you exactly who someone is. Jeff had a gift for making Miranda laugh, for reminding her not to take every little thing too seriously. And Miranda gave him something just as rare: direction, discipline, and the kind of steady love that helps a person become who they're meant to be.
They were goofy together. They survived together. And somewhere between the study guides and the exhausted laughter, days turned into years.
Jeff proposed just as residency was beginning — because why wait for the hard things to pass when you can face them together? Residency brought them to Florida, where they balanced demanding schedules with something beautiful: dreaming about their future. Planning a wedding. Building a life.
Now Jeff has graduated from emergency medicine residency, and Miranda is set to finish urology residency this June. They finally gathered their people and celebrated at Paradise Cove Orlando — one of Central Florida's most magical lakefront venues, tucked on the shores of Lake Bryan and wrapped in cypress trees, tiki torches, and the warmth of a perfect Florida evening.
We were honored to be their photographers. These two have given so much of themselves to medicine, to each other, and to the people around them. It was a joy to give something back — images that will last long after residency is just a memory.
