I hauled up a 400mm telephoto lens to get a shot of this single aspen tree that towered above all the others. It was beautiful morning with a splash of gold/orange aspen leaves in the blue sky near Winter Park, Colorado.

One of my favorites from a few weeks ago... While shooting along CR 73 near Fraser, I ran into three moose. One of these majestic creatures paused long enough for me to reel off a few photos. That's Byers Peak in the background after the season's first snow in the high country. A low layer of fog was drifting through the valley, as well. It was a perfect morning!

More fall colors from Colorado... this one from Clear Lake south of Cimarron. A storm had blown through, so the short walk to this lake was boggy and wet, but the views were magnificent when the clouds began to break. From this past Autumn near Telluride, this image shows the famous Dancing Aspen trees, a rather secretive location and a challenge to locate. Finally, after a few years of searching, a friend and I stumbled across this beautiful, untouched aspen grove along a bumpy dirt road. From this past Autumn, this is a county road just outside of Fraser... lined with Aspen on one side and a wooden fence on the other. Loved the colors and the view!
